Prior
to embarking on your dive journey you will be "suited up" with your
personal Audio Guide and Dive Guide. The Audio Guide is your personal
headset that will inform you, in as much detail as you desire, about
everything you see along the dive.
You
may opt for the standard tour, where the Audio Guide will keep you
informed, as you go, of the various habitats and their dwellers
in the different sections of the ocean tank. At any time, along
the way, you can immediately, by the push of a button, go from general
habitat information to seeking specific information about a fish
that just swam by. Instantaneously, you can match a fish to its
picture on your dive guide. Simply push the corresponding number
shown in your dive guide. This way, you can focus on observing and
probing and your personal "dive buddy" will tell you what you want
to know.

A
visit to the Guam Aquarium Complex will take you on a spellbinding journey,
fully submerged under 10 feet of water, inside a 7 foot wide, 7 foot tall,
see-through acrylic tunnel. Along the way you will come nose to nose with
sharks, rays, groupers, wrasse and other sea life, separated only by
3 inches of acrylic. You will experience vistas normally reserved for
only the most accomplished diver, without ever getting wet and without
experiencing diver's bends. The tunnel dive will "float" you through various
habitats as you find them near-coast and off-shore in the depths of the
Pacific Ocean.
Upon
ascending through the water via escalator onto the second floor, you find
yourself in the magical surroundings of the quiet realm of a large jelly
fish exhibit full of exquisite, colorful performers doing their dance
suspended in water. From the jelly temple onto the scary spider crabs
that, according to legend, are known to feast on the remains of drowned
sailors in the cold depth of the Pacific. This portion of the exhibit
is also home to beautiful and exotic aquatic species such as: live coral,
octopus, eels, clams, clown fish, anemones, sea horses and lion fish,
just to mention a few.
Upon
exiting the exhibits there is an opportunity to select your favorite photo
taken underwater, of yourself and your companions, while on the "dive".
From the dive shop you emerge at the entrance to Sam Choy's, famous for
its excellent food and plentiful portions, accompanied by impeccable service.
Sam Choy's delivers a "A Big Taste Of Aloha" dining experience well beyond
the normal. Fish and habitat surround the patrons while dining inside
an "aquarium," suspended three stories in the air over Tumon Bay.
Both
the Audio Guides and the Dive Guides are available in different languages,
currently English, Japanese and Korean. The Dive Guide is yours to take
home as your constant reminder of the wonderful "diving experience" you
had in Guam.
